Sarah Tisdale

Director of Historic Preservation

Sarah Tisdale earned a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Her studies focused on architectural conservation and planning, and her graduate thesis explored the preservation of the material fabric, customs, and communities around UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Sarah holds a B.A. in History and Art History from Lafayette College. Prior to joining the New Haven Preservation Trust, Sarah worked at an architectural preservation firm and a conservation firm where she managed restoration projects, conducted condition surveys, identified repair scopes, and collaborated with stakeholders.
